A weekend of travels

Saturday saw me at the Association of British Counties committee meeting in Banbury in Oxfordshire.  Fine company. I have never seen a group of people so enthusiastic at discussing statistical databases and digital cartography, in between other business and catching-up.

Sunday had me out walking again – the next stretch of my ‘Herts Embraced‘ walk, an almost¬†leisurely 19 miles which brought me at the end of the afternoon into Barnet, a Hertfordshire town as good as any, whatever the bureaucrats pretend.
